That seems like a pretty reasonable expectation given out schedule. I would also like it to look good. Kids playing hard and clean. Lots of belief and togetherness. Not a lot of penalties. Not a lot of portal attrition. Stuff like that.

We have SEC players but we don't have players as good as Georgia, Texas and Alabama have, and maybe Ole Miss(?). We are not that level right now, for sure. I don't think any other teams in the SEC will be able to push us around though. We can go toe to toe with LSU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma...

Are we sure Shemar is leaving after this year? I kind of hope he comes back. Montrell probably won't be drafted. RBs just don't get drafted unless they are exceptional, speed, hands and pass pro are absolute necessities to get drafted.

Gervon Dexter might be one. Maybe Jason Marshall? But, they are certainly out-recruiting us. We need some success on the field to start closing the gap.

The offense is not the problem. Despite all the belly aching and complaining about things like Mertz's performance and play calling, we score plenty of points. Criticism of defense and special teams while not helpful would at least be less disingenuous than this nonsense.

Couple of things.... 1) It's not all about the coach. The University of Florida from the top down doesn't care about football as much as the administrations of those 10 teams. It just isn't a priority for us and that's a bit of headwind for whomever is the coach. 2) The good news is...

That's amazing that so many landed in good places. The only two that really irk me are Etienne (he is dead to me) and McClellan. McClellan is really good. At least we don't play Mizzou this year... If Kentucky does to us what they did to us what they did to us last year and run for 300+...

I know this sort of an arbitrary list but it's noteworthy there are 6 SEC schools, 3 Big Ten and 1 ACC. 0 From Big 12 and Pac12. Even if you count Oklahoma as a Big 12 team on this list, it's telling.

We really need to focus on Miami... Recruiting will fall into place if we win and that first game is massive. I don't know how we can recover if we lose that one...

I could sort of live with Ohio State but FSU would really hurt. That would leave a mark for sure. Let's hope we look good out of the gate and convince him he can be part of something great at UF. If not, Ohio State has become WRU. Alabama is a close second and I'm not sure where we are on...
