Rome (Ga.) four-star linebacker Jaedon Harmon left Saturday’s Jr. Day visit with an offer from Florida and a better understanding of what the Gators have to offer.

QUICK Q&A

What was the highlight of your visit today?
“I would say the highlight of my visit was getting to talk to Coach [Billy] Napier and getting to know him and also being offered an opportunity to play for Florida.”

Which coaches did you speak with the most, and what did they have to say to you?
“The coaches I talked to the most were Coach [Austin] Armstrong, Coach [Cannon] Gibbs, Coach [Ron] Roberts, and [Blake] Schrader. They said how they love everything about my game and what I bring to the table and how versatile I am.”

Is there anything new you learned about the Gators today that you didn’t know before? If so, what?
“Something new I learned about the Gators today that I didn’t already know was how good the education side is outside of football and how they prepare their athletes for life after football.”

What is the most impressive thing you saw either on a tour of the campus or during one of the presentations? What stood out?
“The most impressive thing I saw today that stood out was that during presentations they showed what a strategic plan they had for every athlete to help develop them to their full potential.”

What is your impression of new linebacker coach Ron Roberts?
“I like Coach Roberts. He definitely knows what he is talking about and is a mastermind from the ILB position standpoint. I could tell that just for the few minutes I got to spend in position meetings with him.”

How do you feel about Florida after visiting today?
“After visiting today I would say Florida would most definitely be in the mix and I am looking forward to coming back up and to building a great relationship with the staff.”

It’s still early for you, but do you have any leaders or a leaderboard?
“As of right now I don’t have any clear leaders but in February I will start cutting the list down.”

Harmon is the No. 171 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus.
