Hill says that he feels like a veteran for the young defensive back core, acknowledging that they are the future of the program.
Jaydon Hill: "Seeing improvement is the best when it comes to football. It's the best when you're practicing together everyday."
Hill says that he and Princely Umanmielen reminisced on the performance and see improvement around them.
Jaydon Hill on getting the safety: "That was lit". He was excited that "a young guy like Jamari got it"
Hill: "The pass rush is top when it comes to defensive backs," Hill says that disrupting timing is an emphasis for the defense.
Hill on the secondary earning interceptions: "That's always been the main goal. We just have to get better when we get those balls"
Pearsall on the team focusing on the run game: "They came out in a three high look, so we knew we were going to dominate the run game"
Pearsall says that the team beat themselves against Utah. Says that the team did not execute properly, highlighting the penalties as a point of emphasis.
Pearsall on Montrell Johnson's big game: "We got guys like #2 and #7... you can't go wrong with giving them the ball"
Pearsall says that Mertz's confidence is very contagious, says that on days when he isn't that motivated Mertz seconds as a hype man, the lockerroom respects Mertz according to Pearsall.
