I think the scale has changed. The gap between what used to be the haves (Florida, Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, etc) and the have nots has become very small and that's not likely to change. The era where Florida beats Kentucky (or anyone) 30 years in a row is gone. It's going to be harder to sustain success.
On that scale, right now, I'd give Florida an 8. If we keep our coaches and recruiting goes better than I think it will, maybe a 9.
We have a good QB but need another one but coaching staff has a good track record at that position. We have a solid culture and team unity. We have good NIL. We have better than average SEC money. We have The Swamp. I think we are better positioned than teams that went heavily into the transfer portal like FSU and Ole Miss, and Ohio State although Ohio State has a phenomenal QB for next year (an Alabama transfer). This year was the first year we were sort of on par with competition in terms of experience and we should be able to sustain that.
If Banks and James come back and we get Lyons back, 2025 could be alot of fun.
