As much as I was opposed to the decision to go for it on 4th and 2 feet early in the second Quarter, when Napier decided not to use either of our 2 backs which are as good as any two in the league and power it, instead of going for a trick play, it changed my belief in him as both a decision maker and as a play caller. Hiking the ball between the QBs legs is a play I used when my son was in PEEWEE Football. I was sitting in the endzone and as soon as the play began, you could see it was dead.
I have always believed that while you can never win a game by gambling in the 2nd Quarter, you can certainly loose it and any momentum we had acquired at that point in the game was gone. He certainly is a great recruiter (so was Muschamp), but my confidence of him being a top level play caller is gone. He scripts the first 15-20 plays and when the other coach makes adjustments, he has no clue. My question now is where do we go now?
