We're getting back to Urban Meyer level talent

We haven't had this much talent on the team since Urban Meyer was recruiting 5 stars left and right.

5 star Marshall
5 star McClain

I've been on the we need to start winning this year train but I can wait until 2025 when the schedule eases up if Napier can keep recruiting at this level.

Now if Napier can make it till 2025. I hope he does, because I think he's working his ass off. With Ron Roberts unofficially in charge on Defense, we ought to be at least top 30 on defense and if the Mertz and Lagway combo can work half as good as the Leak/Tebow combination, I think we win at least 8 games. Go Gators. I watched some old Meyer teams from 2008-10 the other day and those guys played like every play was the last game of their careers. We still have a glimmer of hope.

Roberts lifted Auburn's Defense over 30 spots last. It was ranked 92 in 2022 and 60 in 2023. We have more talent hopefully we can get into the top 30 it would change a lot of things on the field. Especially with us having like 6 games at home.

I like this team but I just don't think it's 2008/2009 good, Not yet.

Winning in 2006 did a lot for that 2008 team just like having a good 2024 against this schedule will do a lot for 2025 and 2026.

We probably won't have a 1st round pick in the next draft. We don't have any positions that are the best group in the SEC. We have a couple that might be the best in the state. I think some of you are kidding yourselfs about our talent level and teams like Georgia, LSU and Texas are going to bring you back to reality.
