It doesn't say which offensive coach was going to get fired to bring in a new OC so I don't really believe it.

It seems to me that Napier tries to avoid "firing" someone (Raymond and Spencer are the exceptions) and instead has assistants "transition" either to the NFL or other opportunities.
If I recall, one of the OL coaches has an expiring contract at the end of this month (I can't recall which one).
I would not be surprised if Napier was waiting for him to find an NFL position before hiring someone else.

Contracts expire after signing day but before spring practices.
