Great story. It's first time I've heard someone be honest and forthcoming about how it works.
It certainly sucks some of the fun out of it for me. But, so far, I still think I'll watch in the fall.
We've had too many pro football fans in college football for a long time and pretty soon they will be the majority if not already.

Thank you for the link - I think it was an interesting perspective, but I'm also wondering how much of it to believe?
I don't recall any professional manager giving details in public about contract negotiations like this guy does.
Seems more like some sort of self-promotion gimmick.
An article I read a couple weeks ago, sort of summarizes my impressions of the college landscape these days:

Of course the author articulates better than I ever could!
