This idiot writer thinks coach Napier is closer to getting an extention than being fired

Well ... he had some interesting points, but I don't agree with all of them.
I agree that building the culture should result in wins, and most of the former players (that I've heard) also like the culture Napier is building.
Interesting that he mentions that there is not a lot of pressure from the boosters, and I've read this before elsewhere.
But just the structure of the contract that he signed (seven years, $51.8M) with 85% buyout of remaining money owed tells you that barring a disaster, he will unlikely be fired after this year.
If I understand the buyouts, it's $25.7 M after if fired after this year, $19.4M after 2025, $13M after 2026 and $6.5 M after 2027.
Also, since he has five years left on his contract, I doubt he gets an extension unless he wins an SEC championship or makes it to the CFP.
So I think this guy is ignoring the previous two years, and is guessing Florida is closer to CFP berth than a two win season in 2024, which he claims will get him fired.
I am guessing neither extreme case happens this year.

Stricklin isn’t firing him due to being tied to him career wise. So getting fired with (currently) 5 years remaining…not happening.
