The Combine has been a bit of a good news, bad news situation.

UF had three skill position players (Johnson, Badger a d Dike) who tested out to be faster and a lot more athletic than we thought they would be.

Three skill position players who are among the top players at the Combine in speed and athleticism, paired with what we believe is a generational quarterback (Lagway) a right tackle (Crenshaw-Dickson) who was invited to the Combine and another offensive lineman (Slaughter) thought to be one of the very best at his position.

Despite those assets, the Gators finished in the bottom half of DI programs (No. 66 of 133 programs) in total offense.

It's hard not to wonder where they finish with a top offensive mind calling the plays?

Someone told me almost 50 years ago that it is almost as important to recognize what you don't know as it is to know what you do know. Napier needs to realize this; he is not an offensive genius or a above average play caller. He we do not make the playoffs with what we have coming back, he will be in serious trouble.

I never thought Johnson was that fast.

He had that long TD down the left side to put that in ga.e away but I thought he would run like a 4.55 or 4.6.

The Texas game and early season performance certainly influenced that rating.

Lagway was a freshman. He won his games. That being said, Napier’s poor offensive coaching talents might waste what could ve an elite qb at UF. This year seems to be the year we go all in as our entire o line will be seniors except 1. But not how coach operates.
