It certainly seems like there are a lot of differences between the two thus far.
To me the difference between them is that Golden has come out and admitted that he didn't bring in the right kind of player the first year.
I don't know that Napier has that in him to have that kind of self awareness.
I don't mean that in a flippant way, but I have never heard him say in a press conference setting that he knows that there are specific changes that need to be made and he's going to do what's necessary.
I mean, this is someone who at one point defended not having enough players on the field for a FG attempt by saying that he was okay with that in some situations.

If you can’t admit your mistakes and problems you cannot effectively fix them. He is what he is and we’re stuck with him. I strongly believe Golden will have great success here.
Golden strikes me as the type that puts winning above just about everything else.
I don't mean to say that he would cheat to win or he doesn't care about his players.
But he's here to win.

I wonder if that hurts Napier's standing?
If another UF coach can come in and see more success early on before he does.
I think Golden holds himself more accountable and is more willing to change than Napier is.
I'm a big fan of where Golden has our team right now but I think he needs to use this time out a little better.
But still lost.
Golden is still a better coach than Napier but we can't act like that wasn't a Sunbelt Billy kind of loss.
That hurt.
Loses are going to happen. We took that L and won 3 in a row and we're playing for the title.
Napier can't say that.
