There's been five or six special teams plays this year when we didn't have enough players on the field on special teams.

It happened two times saturday.

When I saw it on twitter that reporters said that Billy Napier was okay with having ten players on the field for special teams I thought they had to have heard him wrong.

I saw the video of it and he really said that.

I swear I'd never heard a coach say anything that dumb.

You can go back and search everything I've out out there and I've never called him that name but he really deserves it when fans call him Sunbelt Billy.

That answer in particular was peculiar, and overall it was Coach Napier's worst press conference.

He came off as defensive and out of sorts.

The answer about Wilson not being on the sideline because he wasn’t on an 80 man travel roster was just weird.

As you can see above, over 100 players were on the sidelines during the game. If there are other reasons, say it's being handled internally, but don't say something that almost everyone knows isn't correct.

I tweeted In the very beginning, and have said several times since then, that he comes off as very measured, very reassuring in his public speaking.

Last night, that wasn't the case.

With that being said, name calling, even if it was a rival coach, should be beneath us.

Cut him some slack.

You have to think of all the pressure he's under.

He's trying to build this thing back up, and he knows that after a game like that the fans aren't gonna be happy, and he's probably not happy and it shows sometimes.

We're still 3-1 with a chance to go 4-1.

He doesn't have to tell fans and reporters every thing that is going on with the team and players.

I'm more worried about getting an offensive coordinator than I am what happens to a 5 star who didn't pan out for us.

Napier actually did a good job explaining the situation today. It wasn't so much that he was good with there only being 10 players out there, but they got caught up (once again) and in that situation, it would have been great to have another rusher, but it wasn't a killer not having the returner on the field.

Of course though you want all 11 out there. He knows that, it just didn't come out of his mouth right Saturday night.

They have got to get that fixed though, it's happened way too many times.
