Correction ... playing hard AS A TEAM has ALWAYS been the standard.Playing hard is the new standard?
Exactly, in the past it seems the team has given upCorrection ... playing hard AS A TEAM has ALWAYS been the standard.
If you are new to Gators football, one of the issues has been that Urban Meyer admitted to breaking the culture of the locker room, and thus since his coaching tenure, there have been individual players who decided when and when not to play hard and when and when not to give up on the season.
Seeing everyone on the team giving maximum effort, despite lots of adversity, is a relatively new characteristic of the team that hasn't been seen in a while.
I think this is what has some in the fan base excited for the future.
Playing hard is the new
Yes it is, it's something new and great to see. If then didnt play hard and gave up we would be Florida State. Do you understand now?Playing hard is the new standard?
We did a good job sacking the quarterback late in the game but overall our defense didn't play a very good game.It has been several years since I have seen 4-5 players gang tackling on every play late in the game like Saturday night. It is encouraging to see, and now if we can play like that against Ole Miss, I will be totally off the fire Billy Bandwagon. This Defense plays differently when DJ is playing, because they see the future and want to be part of it. Go Gators.
Late in the game? 7 sacks, 1 fumble and only giving up 16 points is a very good game against a good LSU offense. The Defense has one job and that is to hold the opponent to less point than their team can score. We did that by an 11-point margin. I will take that every week.We did a good job sacking the quarterback late in the game but overall our defense didn't play a very good game.
