I saw someone mention that Etienne should not have stepped out of bounds on the last series and that's why they had so much time left when they got the ball down by 2 points. I missed that. Can anyone confirm or add any particulars?

They would have had the same amount of time when their possession started because they had a timeout left. It would have negatively affected their final drive however as the timeout helped them there. Etienne stepping out while obviously a mistake is something he should have known better than in that situation.
