Please convince me that coach Napier can take us to the highest level

I really thought we turned it around when we beat Tennessee last week. I thought we would roll over Charlotte and win out until we played Georiga.

We could get to 8 or 9 wins this year.

After tonight we're probably back to worrying about being able to beat UK, SC LSU, Missouri and ARK and could be a 6 win team.

What is going to change in the next two or three years to change anything?

Is coach going to become a better play caller or game day coach?

Is he going to be better at motivating our team to play to their full potential?

Is he ever going to hold any of his coaches responsible for their bad performances?

What is going to change to make it so that coach Napier is the right coach to lead us to the top of the SEC?

I really want someone to help ease my mind here.

He isn't unless he hires an OC.

You would think he is god's gift to playcalling except he was fired by Clemson because he sucked at it.

He is on camera happy as a clam that we pulled out a win over some FCS team.
I would like to like this a million times.

If he doesn't hire someone to call the plays he won't see five years here.

Great QB play and dominating the LOS covers a bunch. He really needs to get out of the play calling business though. He's pretty good at it actually but you just can't do it these days, it's takes too much away from all the HC responsibilities, especially for such a young and inexperienced coach in such a big spot. He takes so much from Saban so I'm surprised he decided to call plays.

The jury's still out. I still think he could be a better coach for us than we've had in the last four coaches but he hasn't shown us that he is anything like a Spurrier or Meyer.

He also has to deal with Smart at UGA. There weren't any dominating coaches in Athens when Spurrier and Meyer were kings of college football.

We need to get better at recruiting the offensive line if we want to dominate the LOS.

He’s got a bit of muschamp in him. Great defensive recruiting, wants to run the ball and will struggle to come back when down. Same type of O line recruiting too.

He called plays at Clemson for a year and was fired from it. He called plays for Arizona for a year. He doesn't have a great resume as a play caller at all.

So you don’t grasp the difference a top three class will make?

Saving the class is really the strongest argument for keeping him.
It is the only argument to keep him. Well, that and the ridiculous buyout package Stricklin gave him. But it does mean this. If Napier simply cannot do the job and ends up having to be fired, Stricklin win’t be the guy who fires him. They will hire a new AD to do that.

I was surprised sticking survived the women’s basketball investigation fiasco.

It's been a year and a half.

Who is coming here if we change coaches like we change our underwear?

He is still the coach that all the Florida fans and fans of other schools wanted to hire.

Coach Napier will be here at least through next year so why not continue to support him and the players and see if it works out for us.

If it doesn't we can talk about this in 2025.
