Orange & Blue Insider: Observations from Thursday’s practice

I have some injury updates as the team warms up for today’s scrimmage. We were only allowed to see a portion of warmups.

DB Jason Marshall, DB Devin Moore, OL Kamryn Waites, OL Lyndell Hudson and DL Andre Morris were all at practice and dressed out in non-contact jerseys. They participated in stretching (to various degrees), and then they went to do work off to the side.

DB Jaydon Hill, LB Shemar James and DL Kelby Collins were not observed at practice.

LB Scooby Williams, TE Arlis Boardingham, TE Scott Isacks and TE Jonathan Odom were in non-contact jerseys but participated in drills.

TE Keon Zipperer was at practice but sat in the stands.

Going to be an interesting scrimmage with a lot of big contributors out, but this gives some guys good opportunities.

The Gators also had a special guest at practice: Senator Marco Rubio was in attendance. His son, Anthony, is a walk-on freshman running back.

Good News that Waites and Hudson are at practice again, that's some pretty important depth at o-line. Williams, Boardingham, and Odom practicing is good too, important pieces. UF will need all of them at Utah.

Is Waites going to be able to play this year or just practice?

He had surgery 8 months ago so if he's practicing they'll know pretty soon how close he is to playing. As far as I know the only step left is to drop the no-contact jersey. We should get another update soon.
