Mertz is the best or one of the best transfer QB

Mertz took a beating because of how he played at Wisconsin but coach Billy knew what he was doing and brought him in to run his offense.

We are ranked and Mertz is having a career year and is probably the best transfer QB out there.

The point is believe in Billy he is the head coach for a reason.

It's been fun with Mertz and you can tell he's having the time of his life. He's in the argument for best transfer QB in the SEC but that's not saying much and he will have competition from O'Leary at Kentucky and Daniels at LSU. Jaxson Dart is a transfer too as is Joe Milton.

But nationally Sanders and Hartman are playing way better than Mertz. Ewers at Texas is technically a transfer too. So is the kid at Washington who might win the Heisman Trophy.

He has the best completion percentage in college football and he has only thrown 1 interception.

He isn't going to put up 500 yards a game because that isn't what our offense is all about.

It's people like you that overreach and make other fans bring up negatives about our players.

Just say that Mertz has been pretty good. Don't try to compare him to the best quarterbacks when he isn't one yet.

He has one touchdown pass a game.
