That is the end of 7-on-7 and pass rush drills.

I was paying more attention to 7-on-7 so I didn't see all the pass rush drills, but based off of reaction, I'd say the defense came out on top.

First play of 11-on-11 was Mertz to Boardingham for a big gain.

Now it is Jackson and Banks with the first team line inside.

Burke beat Kamari Wilson for about 15 years on a throw from I believe Mertz.

Up until about the last five plays I would have given the offense a failing grade today. They came alive during 11-on-11.

Brown, rolling out, hits Hayden Hanson for a good 10 yards.

Nice run by Cam Carroll, but they aren't tackling so it's hard to tell if the defense could have had him earlier.

No where at all for Montrell Johnson to go up the middle with Watson and Jackson in there.

Burke with a nice catch coming back to the sideline against Kimber with Mertz on the throw.

Mertz was well off on a deep attempt.

Scooby Williams on the blitz but Mertz gets off the pass. The crowd clapped, but it looked like it was outside

Miller stood no chance there behind the second string offensive line. The defense was on him as soon as he received the snap.

Punt drills.

Bowman fumbles around with a low line drive punt, that if it happens in a game, it's exactly the kind of punt where you can return for big yardage because the coverage doesn't have time to get down there.

He had 20 yards before anyone was around him but couldn't bring it in

Miller is out with the first team during this first rotation of 11-on-11.

Fraziars with a catch.

Short pass out of the backfield for a Montrell Johnson score, but transfer Teradja Mitchell let him know he was there. That was the biggest hit of the day.

Hudson isn't out there, Waites is recovering and Goodwin transferred, and what's left of the second string offensive is getting chewed up.

Just got home from the practice. A few thoughts overall (will go more into specifics for a 3-2-1 piece).

Arlis Boardingham had a tremendous day. I expect him to be TE1.

Max Brown may very well be QB2, but he made some decisions that made Napier jump (and not in the good way).

Safeties were eh in my eyes, but not terrible.

Ricky Pearsall was absent today (likely will be addressed in tonight’s PC). Curious to see how the offense will look with him out there in an expanded role.

Buy stock in the freshman WR (and Kahleil Jackson).

Without Kamryn Waites (Achilles), Lyndell Hudson (concussion), Kiyaunta Goodwin (transfer) and now Caden Jones (was seen with boot on his right foot), the depth at tackle seems nonexistent. Damieon George Jr. Will need to be relied on heavily.

Overall a good experience. Hope Napier continues to do it (and maybe a little more lax rules for the press when it comes to filming bc we missed out on some good stuff). But overall, a good day for fans, players and coaches.
