The line is forming to sit down at the table and start eating this crow because we were all wrong about Mertz.

He keeps putting together great performances. You can't get any better than what he did tonight.

He only missed 3 passes and 2 were drops.

No WE all were not wrong, as some of us said to wait and give the young man a chance before you bench him. Much like lets fire the coach because..... They both may be garbage we will know as the season plays out. Its only been two games.

He is a hell of a lot more consistent than AR. AR both won games for us and lost them for us. What was AR's record as a starter? So far Mertz has not thrown to the wrong color jersey. If we had played as mistake free last week as we did last night, we're 2-0.

I’m torn on mertz still. He’s completing short passes which is great but he needs to compelte intermediate and long passes for us to be good. Next week should give us a better hint.

I still don't buy he is anything but average. 90% of his passes are 10 yards or less.
