As much as I do not care for White because of his mouth after UCFs undefeated season, I agree with him here. Allowing Collective bargaining would allow for the implementation of rules (Portal, salaries) such as the NFL has with Free Agents and salaries. The NIL is another problem all together and the NCAA needs to put some teeth into it to prevent schools from basically using NIL to supplement salaries. There MUST be some kind of a cap on salaries and NIL, especially because NIL is tied to schools, unlike paying players in the NFL for advertising by unrelated businesses. The NFL will not allow teams to skate past hard salary caps by using company advertising to add to a players income. I know Head Coaches are well compensated, but it must be a nightmare to have to live with players jumping in an out of the Portal. Collective bargaining could be the answer.
