If coach wins one of the next two isn't that enough to buy some goodwill for another season

If we win one of the next two games that will mean we are bowl eligible and at the worst we will be equal to how we finished last year.

If we win one of the last two and our bowl game we can finish with a better record than we did last year.

If we win the last three we should all be cheering our butts off and be ready for a great 24 season.

If we win the last 3 games, keep our top 10 class together, I will believe what Napier has been selling and look forward to 2024. If not, .....................

We are not likely to win either of these games. The Arkansas game was the one we needed.

Napier is coming back regardless though. Even asking these questions is detrimental to our cause.

This is just a thread for venting. Waste of time.

Until we actually lose, I go in believing we are going to win all of our remaining games and until they decommit I believe all the recruits committed to us are going to stick.

Why look for the negative before it happens when it isn't a sure thing that it will happen.

winning one game doesn’t change ge my feelings based on how we’ve looked. Off-season changes are what will sway me. Beating fsu or Mizzou would be a blast and I hope it happens. But it’s impossible to ignore how horrendous we’ve looked the last few weeks.

With Jordan Travis being out along with Graham Mertz, I believe we actually have a shot as what I saw of Max Brown tells me the kid knows what he is doing and appears to be a threat with his legs. If I was giving Strickland some advice, with all that is going on, (injuries, losing a few recruits, etc) he needs to come out with a definitive statement that Napier is NOT going to be fired this year and will be given time to fix the issues in the off season. This will certainly help the mindset of the players going into our most important game of the year and will stop the bleeding of our recruiting class and perhaps even pick up a few more to get us a little higher in the 2024 class ranking. Now if all of that is done, and we start off 2024 with more of the same, then I would have Spurrier on the speed dial to come in after 4-5 games and finsish the season as the Interim HC (think what he would do with a Mertz, Brown and Lagway combination). By then the buyout will have dropped some more, and then have Spurrier deeply involved with the next hire.

I’m more excited for the fsu game with brown at qb (no disrespect to mertz) as o think it opens up every facet of the offense even with a less than stellar O line. It’s not the game I’d prefer brown to have his first start but the odds being stacked against him just makes it more fun to scream for the gators!
