I saw this on Facebook.

Josh Pate of 24/7 Sports on Billy and the current state of UF:

“They’ve played better ball, but the real crime is that it’s irrelevant because they weren’t ready out of the gate, earlier in the season…You’re Florida and you’re multiple years in, so you’re not going to get credit for moral victories. Nor should you. It’s Florida. The real crime is that Miami game. You weren’t ready to be more competitive. That A&M game. You weren’t ready to be more competitive, and both of those games were at home…so you don’t get benefit of the doubt here.”

That is as good as anyone could say it.

I kind of agree with him that changes came too late.

You can't lose a couple of games a year and then think to yourself that we have to do something different.

If you do that over and over you'll never be in the playoffs.
