The game plan should be to shut down the run and make Milton beat them. If he does that, he will.
Gator communication in the secondary was poor from the first play of the drive. Florida did not expect this and was not able to cope with the pressure.
Tennessee just made that look embarrassingly easy. That drive compared to the Gators' opening drive... there's simply a difference. A big one.
Florida's best defensive back was beaten easily on that play. On an island, he needs to shake it off.
On the first play for the Volunteers, the DB's on the bottom half of the field were going back and forth on who should move over and cover the man during the zone. Luckily, the Gators were able to react and quickly stop the screen. After that, it did not look good.
Time to sit Mihalek? Back-to-back missed opportunities from the kicker. He isn't getting under the ball enough.
That's a touchdown if Milton doesn't overthrow his receiver on that 2nd down. Gators are lucky. Tennessee punting now, Florida's got to capitalize.
What do I keep saying? It's always a good thing when Florida's tight ends get involved. I wish it happened more often. They're huge bodies and can actually catch the ball.
