Honestly, if I had to recruit kids in this age range for a living, I'd probably have my first heart attack at about 35. They haven't learned how to manage themselves yet, and their emotions and egos just run away with them. Very few even try to be analytical about choosing a program, then there's this commitment thing they have no understanding of or interest in. This kid has been USC all along and likely Kirby just felt an OV would just be wasted money and time. Napier is rebuilding and has to take chances and accept less effort efficiency to catch up. Smart and Napier are both analytical managers, just in very different circumstances.
