No offense to Mertz, but he doesn't place that pass to a tightly-covered receiver the way Lagway can.
Touchdown Florida. Lagway takes the Gators practically the length of the field. Now, had that drive stalled, the doubters (myself included) would have complained that Napier pulled the hot hand of Mertz to stick to a rotation. That's a damn if you do, damn if you don't situation
Gators run the clock out to end the half. Florida leads 28-14. The Gators will receive the ball to start the second half.
Florida scored 21 points in the second quarter, and the Gators are up 28-14 at the half over Mississippi State.
Mizell will be marked down short of the first down. Everyone thought it was a touchdown, but it wasn't even close. 3 and out
It seems that no matter the opponent this season, Florida will not be able to stop the run game.
Three and out for the Gators, and here comes MSU. It's never easy or pretty with this version of the Florida Gators. We might as well just come to terms with that right now.
