I don't blame any offensive player for wanting to play in Kiffin's offense more than Napier's.

Kiffin has a better record as a QB coach and OC.

But if you are a serious student why would you want a Ole Miss degree over a UF degree?

Not a good comparison. They are nothing alike. I like them both. Napier has more a clock-control offensive game model and Kiffin is more fun n gun. The one way they're alike is they both like pro-style, pocket QB's. Neither of them run's much spread formation. But Napier does a lot of RPO which makes his offense more dynamic and unpredictable. He wants a QB with a high football IQ. Kiffin is fun to watch on offense and personally. I think TE's and RB's would rather play for Napier. JMO. Ol'Miss vs UF degree? There's nothing to discuss.

TEs would rather be in this offense?

Why?

Look at it this way. We still could get Simmons in a couple of years if Kiffin replaces Napier and Simmons transfers to be closer to home.

Ole Miss had a hell of a potent rushing attack last year. I believe it was better than Florida's.
That's true, but I didn't think UF's rush game was that stout. A lot of their rushing yards were AR running for his life. They couldn't sustain drives, and when you have no vertical threat receivers all the other team has to do is stack the line over and over until you stall. It was the story of the season. Ol Miss always has a potent passing attack which forces the linebackers to help the secondary in pass coverage, so your running game can pick up yards. If Napier hadn't snagged Torrence, Johnson, Etienne, and Pearsall at the last second I don't think UF would have won more than 2 or 3 games. Anybody looked good compared to what Mullen left behind.

Kiffin is a better offensive coordinator but that's about it.

He is childish and not a good representative for any university that would want to hire him for what he can do as the coach because he is an embarassment in all other aspects.

That is why he is at Ole Miss instead of a better team.

JMO, but he won't be there a lot longer.

I'd like to have Kiffen running the offense. Get rid of one of the o line coaches hire someone like him to coach quarterbacks and call plays.
I think we just let the actual HC make those decisions, and I think we need to just accept that this rebuild will take another year or two, and that would be a fast re-build.

You can be a fan of Napier and still hold the opinion that in today's world of college football, 2-3-4 years is not a fast rebuild. It just isn't.

It isn't if you're the football coach at a program that's willing to play fast and loose with NCAA and state NIL laws (Miami), it isn't if you are one of the premier brands in college football (like UF used to be), it isn't if you work for a programs that doesn't prioritize playing for championships which requires recruiting elite athletes, and it isn't if your AD doesn't care what your recruits academics look like, or if said recruits actually attend classes and graduate with degrees, or never do. FSU doesn't have the academic standards of UF, and they landed a very high quality coach in Mike Norvel who has had to do pretty much the same job Napier faced, and he's on year 4. And FSU doesn't ever play the kind of schedule UF does. You can call yourself a Gator fan, and you can have an opinion, but I like evidence. Otherwise its just an argument.

Obviously, the jury is still out on Napier, but to say that Mike (not Steve) Norvel is a high-quality coach after only one successful season is a reach at best. Hell, he only beat us by 7 in Tallywacky in Napier's first year and we sucked on Defense and Richardson was wildly inconsistent. That IS evidence my friend.

I don't disagree with you as far as you went, but there is more to Norvel's history than FSU where he hasn't finished yet. He took Memphis from a nobody and made it into a top 10 program before he came to FSU, and I thought that, recruiting-wise, Memphis was probably a tougher sell to recruits than FSU. Also if you recall, last recruiting cycle the President and AD at FSU made a big very public attempt to bring Deon Sanders back to FSU to be their new coach. You can imagine what this does to your recruiting cycle. Norvel managed to hit the portal and save his class, but I doubt he'll be forgetting that. I fixed the name, I have a personal friend in S Carolina named Steve Norvel.

The FSU fans were ready to string Norvell up until this year.

He lost to Jacksonville State for Christ sake.
Well, it's this year and they don't want to string him up. He did what they hired him to do, and my point is that Napier faced, if anything, a worse challenge and is winning on the recruiting trail which we all have reason to expect, will result in winning on the field. But to expect what some on this site say they expect isn't reasonable. Still, Napier is an over-achiever, so you never know.

You have every excuse already lined up for him and that's all good for you but to me if we have another losing season we need to look harder if he is the right coach for the job.

So, everything I say is an excuse, but you can make another "if this happens he may not be the guy" proclamations with no evidence whatever and its OK? I think not. I'm the one who said I like evidence, or it's just an argument. ALL the EVIDENCE to date, says Napier is killing this re-build. If you think otherwise, then present your evidence, because there are already too many whiny complainers looking for reasons to be unhappy with Napier. Put up, or STFU.
