Florida is unranked in the initial USA Today Coaches Poll

Florida is unranked but comes in as the third team in the Others Receiving Votes (or No. 28) in the initial USA Today Coaches Poll

Six opponents are ranked:

1) UGA
5) LSU
6) Southern Cal
8) Florida State
10) Tennessee
14) Utah

If you add in South Carolina (No. 27 in ORV), that is seven of the 12 2023 opponents who the Coaches Poll believes are better than the Gators.

Not Southern Cal so it's six above us in this poll.

Maybe there are 6 better but I don't think FSU, Tennessee or Utah are 10 places better than us.

I think we as good or better talent than everyone on our schedule except UGA and LSU.

At least they have us ahead of Kentucky and Arkansas. That's first poll I've seen that got that right.

We normally do a thread where we compare the ranking/record of the programs with a coach in the same year as the UF coach. I was thinking of that when I was making the list and then remembered that I use the AP Poll.

The poll is about right except for FSU. I believe they are way over ranked and should be maybe in the 16-19 range. We are where we deserve to be with ample opportunity to move up if we play to our ability and maybe upset a couple of teams. I firmly believe that it will start when we upset Utah and their gimpy QB with our new high-pressure Defense. I predict with his lessened mobility he will be running for his life early in the season.

Nah, they'll bench him early in the game. soon as they get a look at Armstrong's defense. But, yeah, UF should surprise Utah and win it.
