The Florida Gators Football team upset the No. 22 LSU Tigers Saturday and are heading into their final SEC matchup against the No. 9 Ole Miss Rebels. First on the podium will be Head Coach Billy Napier.
Napier on Ole Miss, "We have to earn the right to win and have a playoff mindset. It's important to hit the reset button and approach the next challenge. Ole Miss has playmakers on offense, a veteran quarterback, and a disruptive defense."
Napier on working with Lane Kiffin, "He has always been that guy and has tremendous experience. When his dad passed away we spent some time talking about that, since I've been through that. We love ball and everything about the game."
Napier on sendings seniors out on a high-note, "I think it's a unique feel in that regard, this group of seniors is a unique group. Especially, a place like Florida playing in that venue will be a special day."
Napier on Jaxson Dart, "It's one of the more mandating parts of the matchup, you have to matchup with the coverage outside. That will be one of the chess matches this week."
Napier on two-deep, "For us, I would like to see some maturity from our team, can we sort through the hype a little bit. Long term as a program we are going to have to navigate that week in and week out."
Napier on Lagway, "We have every gadget downstairs to try and put him in a position to be healthy. He evolved as a player and viewed the game [from the pocket] and handled it pretty well. He is still a young player and evolving, it was a good experience for him."
Napier on win for recruiting, "It helps with recruiting. That game day environment is the final piece of the product. Seeing players improve and develop and have future NFL careers is important. Having a seat in the swamp helps that environment."
Pyburn on Lane Kiffin's offense, "They do a good job at their tempo. We have to not allow them to run their game. We need to go in and play our game and not their game."
Dike on younger players, "It's amazing, those guys I have seen making big plays. When you have young players make plays and wins games like that is huge for the future of the program."
