"He is day to day. The good thing is that he had made a lot of quick progress. Hopefully he will continue to get better and slowly become more of a participant in practice." Billy Napier on DJ Lagway.
"The ability for our players to be present and make the practice environment as competitive as possible, and I think this group learned that the practice environment is a huge factor into how you play in the game." Billy Napier on what the team learned from the bye week last year.

"It's a deep and competitive group. I'm excited about Aidan coming back and Tre being healthy. We also have a lot of new guys coming in. The next month is about seeing who we can trust, who we can depend on and who can play winning football." Billy Napier on the wide receiver room.
"If you really take a good look at what we were able to do towards the end of last year a lot of it was because of the defense. We were in it in Jacksonville and in it in Knoxville because of the defense. We have some young players we will need to develop in the secondary but every other position we are feeling good. Excited to see how much we can improve during the season." Billy Napier on the defense.

"It's hard not to look at it, its kind of everywhere, but we have to come into fall camp and prove it to ourselves. Expectations are one thing but going out there and doing it is another. We have goals of ours that we want to accomplish that some people don't even know. So I think it's cool to see it but we have to prove it." Offensive Lineman Austin Barber on the team expectations.
" I don't want the offensive line to have a good time at practice. I want them to have to battle and fight like they would in a actual game." Tyreak Sapp when asked about practice.
