Florida Football Camp Media Day Press Conference

First on the podium is Justin Boone talking about being back at camp after his injury, "It was the hardest thing I have done, I like being involved not verbally but physically."
Boone on the defense: "It definitely is a competition. Everyone is competing being on the field."
Boone on the new defensive guys coming in specifically LJ McCray, "We all want to be on the field, but I don't see it as competing against each other. We are all here to make each other better. We have a lot of young talented guys."
Boone on the Gators' expectations this season: "We're not looking to prove anybody wrong, we're just looking to prove ourselves right."
Slaughter on getting off to a strong start: "It doesn't matter if we're playing Miami week one or the Florida School of the Deaf and Blind week one, there's gonna be a sense of urgency."
Slaughter on the strength and conditioning change, "Guys have become more mobile and stronger because of Coach Miles, losing a ton of weight and gaining more muscle."
Slaughter on Austin Barber, "Austin is my guy, we have a special relationship. He is s supreme competitor and is one of the more determined people you will meet."
Slaughter on Barber's injury, "He is a tough guy and he was hurt real bad. He is ready to come back and play."
Miles on Gators' players gaining muscle in the off-season: "To see all of their hard work pay off like that, that's what makes me happy."
Miles, Boone and Slaughter all stressed that the Gators' roster is faster and stronger as a unit.
Miles on the guys conducting themselves, " Doing everything the right way, defining their reps and showing up early, being consistence in all aspects."
Miles on power cleans," I believe it's a huge benefit to why we have gotten stronger and faster. This offseason we have gained almost 600 pounds of muscle and that translates into speed and mobility of the field."
Callaway on his spin on the offense, " I wouldn't necessarily put my spin on it, it's more about a team effort and up to Coach Napier.
