Florida announces new defensive line coach

He began his coaching career in the role of a defensive graduate assistant at Ball State for the 2012 and 2013 seasons, with the Cardinals going 19-7 over those two years (13-3 in Mid-American Conference games) and earned bowl invitations both seasons. Chatman also oversaw the development of Cardinals DE Jonathan Newsome, who earned first-team All-MAC honors and later was selected in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL draft.

A native of Milwaukee, Wis., Chatman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in Educational Leadership and Human Service. He earned four letters playing both defensive end and tackle for the Titans from 2006-10. He also holds a master of arts degree in adult and community education from Ball State University.

Chatman and his wife, Lauren, have four children; Kinley, 7, Amelia, 4, Maya, 2 and Tyson, 1.

I don't know a thing about him other than what is posted above. I will say, and it comes off as negative, but tell me I'm wrong, this might be the worst resume I have seen for a Florida position coach. He might be a superstar in the making, but he has exactly two years of DI experience as a position coach.

One at Colorado and one at Tulane.

There's no way that Napier fired Spencer with the thought in mind of adding this coach.

Who knows what goes on in Napier’s brain. I always revert to going for it on 4th down against Georgia on his 34-yard line and then having Etienne throw a half-back pass.
