Ranking based on average rating of ALL recruits:
247: No. 7
On3: No. 6
Rivals: No. 3

Rivals has us that high? They got Lagway and McCray lower than anyone else has them.

I went back to look and I was looking at the column they label as "*AVG", which I now see is probably the average * rating of all the recruits.
If you take their points and divide by number of recruits, then Florida comes in 7th.
The point is you can play with the numbers however you want and come up with different results.
I know there are studies that show correlation of top recruiting classes with championships, but I wonder if that is even valid these days?
You see now how one QB transfer can elevate a program, even for one season, to compete for a championship.
Florida having Lagway, potentially puts them in a similar category.
The fact that Napier is recruiting talented players, should have them more competitive in the near future.
The downside in these rankings I post is that it shows a lack of depth from the HS recruits.
But even then, it seems to not matter with the transfer portal as it is these days.
