Do we need a coach that can do more with less

This writer has a good point.

If we can't recruit to the level of Georgia and Alabama we should get a coach who can do more with less.

From SEC writer Bratton.

Can Billy Napier's Florida program catch up by being a poor man's Georgia/Alabama?

I would take a different approach, find a coach that can do more with less like Kiffin or Heupel.

It's nothing against coach Napier but they are right.

Our two most successful football coaches did things different than everyone else.

Spurrier came in and threw the ball all over the place when the SEC was a running league.

Meyer introduced the RPO spread offense to the SEC.

They will get tired of doing more with less pretty soon. Seems a temporary gain when you can’t get over the hump
Dude, in a year and a half you think we should be over the hump? You can't be serious. FSU is in year 4 with a very good coach and they might be at the hump. This year will show if they are or aren't. You might as well stop griping, it's going to be awhile. Though the articles I'm reading lately say UF is moving much quicker than most. Besides, Napier's buyout is $32 million. He's not leaving.

I wasn’t talking about Napier. The OP suggested finding a coach that can do more with less. I was commenting that those fan bases will get tired of getting close without getting far enough. I didn’t suggest fire Napier or even mention him.

Who really has done more with less?

Fickle at Cincinnati, but he went to Wisconsin.

Kyle Whittingham at Utah.

Fritz at Tulane, but he isn't a younger coach.
Mullen always seemed like that kind of coach at miss state. And early in his tenure here with franks.

Stoops at Kentucky.

Cutcliffe at duke for many years.

The Steve Spurriers and Billy Donovans of the coaching world don't grow on trees.

Are we really ready to throw in the towel on Billy Napier already?
Nobody in their right mind wants him gone already. He gets the time he needs but we might be grumpy along the way when bad things happen.
Besides-there doesn’t appear to be an elite up and coming coach out there right now. Hopefully we don’t need to worry about that for a long while.

We tried doing more with less; Mullen and Mc Ellwain. I am sticking with Napier. If you end up with a top 5 class every year, it will come down to in-game performance. Without Todd Monken as the OC, UGA will not 3-peat.

Does Mac qualify for that? How different is his tenure at UF if grier doesn’t fail a drug test? His final year he had a top recruiting class before he obviously couldn’t handle it any longer
