When talking about Kevin Carter, Napier said that one of the things the staff wants to do is bring back former players who had success on and off the field.
Said it is a great weekend in that Mark Pitts and Jaddarius Perkins are getting their degrees from Florida.
Napier said that for the most part he was pleased with the scrimmage, but they didn't tackle as well in space as he would have liked.
He said moving forward the focus is on practice habits and discipline.
He said it will be a competitive week. Players are competing for situations.

Tight end Dante Zanders will be out 10 days with a lower body injury.
The same with Kelby Collins, but he could be back sooner.
He said Scoobly Williams, Jason Marshall and Lyndell Houston should be back tomorrow.

In having former defensive end Kevin Carter talk to the team, Napier said it was important to know about the history of UF, and history of how dominant UF was.
Napier said that they have confidence in the players replacing Boone, and about talked about Sapp, Pyburn, Banks, James.

Napier said he thinks it gets overlooked that UF has their specialists back. He l,ikes the group. He said talked about about several players being a factor in the return game including Etienne, Montrell Johnson, Ricky Pearsall and said Tre Wilson will be a factor.

I doesn't hurt a thing for the competition to stay open for a few more days. It's good to go into the schedule with a couple of QB's you could win with rather than one. Both Mertz and Brown are getting better fast.
