Sounds like a big Maybe to me. College football is not sustainable on its current course, with unenforced NIL and Portal rules. This or something similar will happen sooner rather than later.

I agree, and one has to pay attention to who is saying no right now .... the commissioners of the B1G and SEC, since they are yielding all the power, at the moment. Notice that this Smash Capital group is pitching their proposal to individual school programs, which is a nice strategy, since I am sure they are listening and paying attention to the dollar amounts involved. Sure Sankey and Pettiti have led their respective leagues to great prosperity, but don't think for a second that they won't be ditched for someone who is promising the schools more money. If there is one constant in college football in its history it's that greed is driving all decisions.
