"I'm never going to doubt a play call. It's my job to go out there and execute," he said.
"I'll tell you right now it's not going to snowball. I'm confident in our leaders to see the bigger picture."
"First drive we were clicking," Mertz said, "After that, they got great coaches too and they made adjustments. We got to be better prepared for when they punch back."
Napier said it felt like they needed to throw the ball at times, but that they got off schedule and lived in second-and-long, third-and-long which kept them from keeping a balanced offense.
On the fourth down play in the first half:
Napier said he thought they had a good play.
Said he thinks the conference has good officials when it comes to the spot.
