How should we feel about it when we sign a recruit that everyone says was bought and paid for?

I'm still happy he's a Gator but I like them more if they choose us because they liked us.

That would be like me saying that I like Daniels less as a Redskins fan (they aren't the Commanders to me) because he's getting paid to play not because he's there because he loves the Resskins.

For almost each and every prospect who signed with UF or elsewhere, money played some part in where they ended up. For some, it may not have been the driving force, for others, it likely was.

I would think money played an outsized (if there is such a thing anymore) part in some of those very late additions.

Let's be honest, Woods didn't jump from PSU to UF because he loved the Gators that much more. The same likely for Heyward, and Konanbanny.

I felt like Stubbs was always looking for a reason to be a Gator.

How much money matter vary from player to player. For some, it is the main criteria, for others, it factors in but not as much.
