Long, Baker and Thompson are all like that. There has to be something about writing for a paper that brings out the ass in a reporter.
Banchi is the same way.
The only newspaper reporter that I can remember being fair to us was the one with the Sun who retired.

It was a downer type of Pro Day in that there wasn't much draftable talent coming out of UF this year, and then to have Pearsall not workout knocked it down a bit more.
That is the reality of the situation.
Having said that, I would bet that he regrets his choice of wording there.
Those who did participate worked their butts off for today's showcase and phrasing it like that like that does diminish the handful of young men who had a chance to shoot their shot today.

Robbie was the best reason to read the Sun. When he left it didn't feel like they had anyone who truely pulls for Florida to win and do great.
Pat Dooley was okay.
I don't like the new guy at all.
I often listen to Pat Dooley's Another Dooley Noted Podcast, which you can find on youtube.
Robbie Andreu joins him often as does Steve Spurrier - usually once per week.
Has lots of interesting guests.
I don't want a cheerleader or someone negative. Dooley was a straight up reporter, and a dang good one. His sidekick Robby Andrueu was more of a cheerleader. Dooley was one of the more respected Sports writers in the Southeast and was interviewed frequently on numerous national college football shows.
Guys, we have to admit to ourselves that we have no right to complain about reporters writing "negative" stuff on here. They are paid to report what they see and Lord knows we ourselves post all kinds of negative crap. It is what it is until the on the field product changes. At least Etienne waited till he went to the Leghumpers before he was arrested.
I agree.
I want to read positives about my Gators but we have to give our reporters a reason to write positive things.
Then after we get really good we can enjoy other schools reporters trying to tear us down because they hate that we are winning.
I'm ok with reporting negative news but sometimes some people (many on these boards) go out of the their way to bash coach Napier and the Gators. It's not helping, that's for sure. This team needs belief and a little bit of good fortune could go a long way in that regard. We haven't had many good breaks since Napier got here.
