Florida head coach Billy Napier along with offensive lineman Knijeah Harris and linebacker Shemar James met with the media on Wednesday to discuss the upcoming season opener against No. 19 Miami.

- Napier said that it is important for Florida to continue preparing right up to the game
- Montrell Johnson Jr. being at the top of the depth chart means that they think he is ready to go
- The blessing in disguise of Johnson being limited in camp was the other backs getting more reps

- Harris doesn’t focus on things like UF being an underdog
- He said Watson is hard to block and is really athletic for his size

Highlights
- Missing the last part of last year with an injury, this will be James first game since October
- James is excited to play against Miami’s run game
- He said Grayson Howard showed consistency throughout camp
- The plan is to keep Cam Ward in the pocket so he can’t make plays with his legs
