“The highlight was talking to everybody and all the staff about the school and what it is all about.”
Which coaches did you speak with the most, and what did they have to say to you?
“I spoke mostly to the coaches on defense. They told me that I’m a priority for them.”
What are your thoughts on new defensive line coach Gerald Chatman?
“He is a good guy. He recruited me when he was at Tulane and nothing has changed.”
What is the most impressive thing you saw either on a tour of the campus or during one of the presentations? What really stood out?
“What stood out was the standard they hold the players to and they want them to be great. They set the bar high and want you to meet that.”
How do you feel about Florida after visiting today?
“Florida is a good school and I feel like they are going to be a top team on my list.”
Did you get a chance to speak with any of the players, if so, who and what did they say to you?
“I talked to some of the players. They talked about how the school is for them and what stood out to them about Florida. And they also talked about the workouts.”
It’s still early for you, but do you have any leaders or a leaderboard?
“The leaders right now are LSU, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Miss State, and Michigan. Also, Florida is in my top schools as well.”
What other visits do you have coming up in the next month or so?
“At the moment, I don’t have anymore, but that could change.”
Oatis is the No. 166 ranked prospect in the nation according to the On3 Consensus.
