Goodland (Ks.) 2025 athlete Linkon Cure hasn’t received a Consensus ranking from the four recruiting services yet, but that doesn’t mean that the 6-foot-5, 210-pounder is flying under the radar.
He has double-digit P5 offers to this point, including the one he received from Florida just last week.
QUICK Q&A
Did you have a favorite college team (or player) growing up?
“Kansas State, Oregon, and Oklahoma were my teams as a kid because they had my favorite players.”
Out of your early offers is there one or two that really caught your attention? A ‘wow’ moment?
“K-State being my first offer really caught my attention and meant a lot.”
How did the Florida offer come about? Who did you communicate with and what did they have to say to you?
“Coach [Russ] Callaway called me and we talked. That’s when I got the offer. I don’t recall much from the conversation except us getting to know each other and talking about Florida.”
What is your initial impression of Florida?
“My early impressions of Florida are strong. They have a great football culture and school.”
What were a couple of your favorite campus visits so far?
“I’ve only had 1 game day visit so far to K-State and I’ll have Penn State this weekend (this past weekend), so we’ll see.”
Do you have any plans to see any schools for a game this fall? Are any official or unofficial visits set?
“I’ll be at Penn State this weekend (this past weekend), but I haven’t had anything else scheduled but I would like to make it to Florida.”
It’s still early, but do you have any leaders or are there a couple of programs that you know will be there until the very end for whatever reason?
“I’m not sure about leaders so far because I haven’t visited much. K-State and KU will probably definitely make it to the end because they are close to family and have given me the most attention.”
What’s going to be important to you when you make your final choice?
“What core values and culture are set in the school and program, academics, and obviously what’s best for me football-wise.”
Cure has offers from the likes of Auburn, Michigan, Penn State and Texas A&M
