I don't want to see Napier play it smug this week

Last year at media days, coach didn't own up to how bad we were and when He was asked about the low expectations for the season he said that they didn't know what he knows.

I want to hear him be a little more humbled this year.

Acknowledge that he hasn't lived up to the hype and he has to get better this year.

I'd like for him to talk about the offseason conditioning.

I don't mean how every player is bought in and doing great. More like how is it different t that the first two years. What are we doing different and how are the players responding in real numbers.

I don't want to hear him get asked about a new OC or anything like that.

I hope he updates the players we added since the end of spring practice. McClain, Jason Zandamela, the offensive lineman from over seas and Elijah Badger.

Where do they all fit in.

I hope he talks about the DL that was arrested. If he is suspended or has some kind of punishment that would help set us apart from Georgia on a national stage.

There's nothing I feel like he has to avoid talking about.

There's nothing positive that can be said that is going to change my way of thinking one way or the other. It's 'prove it' time. Nothing that can be talked about really matters - we'll find out where the team is on August 31.

One thing I would like to see him avoid is bemoaning the strength of schedule. It is what it is. To boo hoo it is, to me, a way to seek cover and excuse make.

This is Florida. If, in his third season, the program is where it is supposed to be, the 2024 opponents should be concerned with having to face the Gators, not the other way around.

He can't avoid the schedule because that will be one of the first things he is asked about.
