I heard that at half-time that Brandon Spikes was ripping into the Defense and Napier told him to tone it down. If true, this is exactly what is wrong with the team. Do you honestly think that Saban, Spurrier, Meyer and especially Kirby Smart would have said that. If anyone of them were here, Spikes would not have needed to speak up. I finally must admit it; Billy Napier is over his head. I wish something would come of the Rashada suit, which would enable us to fire him with cause and save us 25+ million.

I prefer a calm coach to a lunatic like Muschamp was on the sideline, and probably elsewhere. If you let yourself get that bent out of shape about every little issue than you probably aren't focusing on the important things. But, football is an emotional sport and you have to let that be part of the deal too.

Maybe our players are too chill? Maybe a kick in the butt or a head butt every now and again is necessary?

I can't get the visual out of my head of the team buses arriving in Ponte Vedre last year. I was struck with how quiet it was. It was like church. There were a few whispers here and there but a very slow and silent walk into the building and same thing inside. I just can't imagine it looked and sounded like that in 2008.

Apparently, you have never seen Kirby or Saban on the sideline. Kirby's half-time rants are legendary. Saban's head looked like it was about to explode and if you do not think that players respond to that you might want to examine the results. Tell me this, who would you want to sit and explain why you screwed up to after watching game film, Napier or Saban and Smart?

From what I can surmise, the current Florida coaching staff doesn't light up players pre-game, post-game or ever. Really shouldn't do it in-game but there is a place for it.

Football is a emotional game and players, especially young ones, need an injection of urgency sometimes.
