That is a little over the top, don't you think? Now if he dropped out of the top 6 or 7, I could understand your angst. If coach Napier can't hold on to every single one of our top recruits then he needs to go.
His only value right now is recruiting.
He isn't good at anything else.
I feel he needs to be top 5 minimum. And it was a bit over the top but he wasn’t really wrong. In game coaching and development haven’t been good and his portal recruiting is a bit sketchy. He needs this class to largely stay together or what is he bringing to the table? That is a little over the top, don't you think? Now if he dropped out of the top 6 or 7, I could understand your angst.
We're probably going to lose 2 or 3 of our highest rated recruits that are committed to us.That is a little over the top, don't you think? Now if he dropped out of the top 6 or 7, I could understand your angst.
Development hasn't been good?...and development haven’t been good ...
The inverse is how many highly rated kids haven’t gotten better? Overall team development has been poor. You can find exceptions to the rule.Development hasn't been good?
Wasn't O'Cyrus Torrence something like a two star recruit who ended up being an All-American?
I'm not sure what you think the "rule" is?The inverse is how many highly rated kids haven’t gotten better? Overall team development has been poor. You can find exceptions to the rule.
The rule being 2 stars (I think Torrence was one) not making the nfl. It’s a generalization but most aren’t second round picks.I'm not sure what you think the "rule" is?
I find it disturbing when statements that have no foundation are made that are based on emotion or for the purpose of trying to advance some narrative or agenda.
I am not sure how one judges the development of "highly rated kids" on one recruiting class that BN staff recruited?
One can only use his time at Louisiana, but even that has a small sample size.
A quick look at the number of "highly rated kids" that BN signed there between 2020-2022 shows a grand total of TWO four star prospects!
Yet, in the same time period, there were SIX players drafted from Louisiana.
Recruit & Develop: Napier Made Believers Out of Ragin' Cajuns
I still think the sample size is rather small, but I don't think one can definitely say BN does NOT develop players.
Let's see in about three or four years.
