That is brutal news for Florida today. Losing him to the NFL Is one thing, but to another program is a big OUCH. He was Florida's only pass-rush threat. Of UF's 22 sacks on the season, defensive linemen accounted for 13 1/2 of them. Princely Umanmelien had seven of those 13 1/2. Florida's defensive line had 30 QBH. Umanmielen had 17 of them.
Big loss; says volumes about where he thinks the program as headed as far as him being developed. Would not be surprised at all to see him end up at either Texas or at Texas A&M. He was a good Gator and will be missed.
