The baseline for coach Napier should be.........................

What is the baseline we should expect from coach Napier this season in football and recruiting?

If he falls below this many wins or this recruiting ranking he should be gone?

What is that?

If he can't win 6 games and finish in the top 10 in recruiting we should be looking for his replacement.

We can't keep letting SEC teams beat us and out recruit us.

When is enough enough?

That seems like a pretty reasonable expectation given out schedule.

I would also like it to look good. Kids playing hard and clean. Lots of belief and togetherness. Not a lot of penalties. Not a lot of portal attrition. Stuff like that.

I’m at 8 wins. He is in year 3 with a 6th year qb. We should have won 7 last year (should have lost to South Carolina but best Mizzou and Arkansas). Poor S&C coach and some position coaches hurt us. Napier and Armstrong poor play calling hurt us. We have a brutal schedule but a normal Florida team would NEVER accept only 8 wins. Time to prove he belongs.

I'm not some bandwagon fan who wants to see us change coaches every three years.

You can't build a winning program like that.

I think if he could win six games this year that should be enough and then we enter the Lagway era where we start to really compete for the playoffs.

I do not care what the schedule is, with the changes and resourses he has at his disposal, with the improvements in NIL and the transfer portal, if he does not win a MINIMUM of 7 regular season games he needs to be fired.

If your answer is six or less wins you are giving him a free pass to dig the hole deeper for another year.

He has to show progress as a coach and get us to a bowl as the minimum.

Recruiting is already shit for this year. I don't even know what to say, can we put a number on it?

He'd better get Brown is all I know.

How we look doing it is as important as the win total. We need some positive press.

The only reason we are discussed in the media at this point is when it comes to Napier's job status and the difficulty of our schedule. We need to turn some heads and have some real star players emerge. We need to go toe to toe with LSU, A&M, Ole Miss, Texas, etc. and not back down. We need to beat the likes of Kentucky, UCF and Mississippi State comfortably.

We need to win some big games too but we need some respect and some confidence.

We need to keep DJ Lagway and the core of really players we have.

This is going to be interesting to observe as the season goes on if it doesn't turn out to be either great (nine or more wins) or terrible (five or less wins.

Eight wins I guess would be the sweet spot because what does six or seven wins mean?

Another so-so season, three years into this. Of course that would mean that Napier is for sure getting the 2025 season, but will six or seven wins really give anyone the feeling that he is the man for the job without question, or would it simply kick the can down the road for another year? How long can that go on without a 'proved it' type of season?

This is his prove it season. He has got everything he has asked for; NIL, Staff, resources, etc. This year he needs to win 8 minimum and be competitive against UGA.

The question wasn't how many games do you hope we can win?

It's what is the least amount you would be happy with?

What is the worst recruiting ranking that you would be okay with?

8 wins minimum. If that number is what we get, we can legitimately flip some guys before the early signing day, so recruiting will take care of itself. If not, he's gone.

It amazes me how we've been so bad that now we set the bar so low for what we call success.

I remember when people used to get pissed off because Spurrier only won 10 games.

Ron Zook got fired for winning 7 games and now we're going to be happy with that and we're going to celebrate it like it's some big accomplishment

and that is one of the main reasons Spurrier left. He was sick of some of our spoiled entitled fans.

It's not fair with our schedule to put out a number of wins we expect.

What if we lose to Georgia, Texas and Ole Miss by 1 point.

They would be loses but they would show promise that coach is improving our team.

If those are the only 3 we lose to I will be ecstatic. Who gives a rats a.. about our schedule. It was not too many years ago when we were on someone's schedule it was considered difficult. Year 3 in the Transfer Portal and NIL era is more than enough time to be a winner. NO MORE EXCUSES.
