There were quite a few committed prospects on campus today for Florida's Swamp Shootout 7v7 tournament. UF didn't publish it was taking place and was only going to tweet out the eventual winner. Hell, I didn't know until today.

I went over, and there were quite a few committed 2026 prospects in attendance.

Atlanta (Ga.) Hapeville Charter four-star offensive lineman Chris Booker is committed to Alabama

Dealing with an injury, he didn't participate, but he still had a chance to interact with the UF coaches. As a matter of fact, he spent at least the first hour I was there with the staff.

"They said that they can't wait to get me out for the OV," said Booker. "They showed me some things on technique."

Speaking of visits, Booker officially visited Georgia last weekend, has Ole Miss this weekend, followed by Florida and then Alabama.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pounder said that those are the only four programs he is considering.

He was non-committal when asked what it would take for one of those four to pull him away from the Tide. Saying that he was looking for a place where he could be developed and felt comfortable there, but said he wasn't sure twice when asked to be more specific.

Another four-star offensive lineman in attendance was Orlando (Fla.) First Academy's Chancellor Barclay. Wearing a bright orange Clemson hat, he was interactive with his team, but I didn't see him with the UF coaches (that doesn't mean he didn't speak with them). He is firm with his pledge to the Tigers and I would be surprised if he backed away from it.

Another in-state four-star who is committed elsewhere is Winter Park (Fla.) safety Ayden Pouncey. The Notre Dame pledge spent time speaking with UF quarterback Aidan Warner, who went to Winter Park High School. He also spent a good deal of time with UF cornerback Devin Moore, and they almost look like they could be brothers.

Melbourne (Fla.) Eau Gallie four-star safety Xavier Lherisse, who is committed to Oregon, took part today. He isn't as lengthy as you would like from a defensive back but he does move well.

I was told that three-star offensive lineman Jakobe Green, who is committed to Mississippi State, was there with his Gadsen County team, but I didn't get a chance to see him.

I did get a prolonged look at Blountstown four-star running back Amari Thomas. Though he is committed to Florida State, UF coaches Billy Gonzales and Jabbar Juluke both were watching him intently. It's hard to gauge a running back in 7-on-7, but he looked more like an athlete than a back to me out there.

Former running back Chris Rainey was back on campus as a coach for Ocala (Fla.) Trinity Catholic.
