We hired a coach who's only been a defensive coach for 1 year.

Ohio State is hiring Matt Patricia.

That's not even fair.

He's only been a defensive coach for one year. It is not like he is running our defense. Give him 30 seconds to prove himself. There are plenty of coaches out there with of years of experience that are trash.

This has been a theme with Napier. Given his lack of experience, one would think he would benefit from having some experience on staff but other than Roberts he's hiring up and comers, i.e. potential.

There are no guarantees but we seem to be reaching a little bit on some of these hires.

Not sure if we can't get proven coaches or we want guys with less experience that might be more hungry.
