It's just one person's opinion, but six of the Top 23 were part of the same class of head coaches hired when Billy Napier was hired. Seven others have been hired since Napier at Florida. That means that half of the list have been on their current job the same or less amount of time as Napier.

Being realistic, at what point do you see him making a Top 25 list?

25. Matt Campbell, Iowa State
24. Kalani Sitake, BYU
23. Brent Venables, Oklahoma
22. Lincoln Riley, USC
21. Bill Belichick, North Carolina
20. Kirk Ferentz, Iowa
19. Sherrone Moore, Michigan
18. Bret Bielema, Illinois
17. Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss
16. Brian Kelly, LSU
15. James Franklin, Penn State
14. Lance Leipold, Kansas
13. Kenny Dillingham, Arizona State
12. Curt Cignetti, Indiana
11. Mario Cristobal, Miami
10. Josh Heupel, Tennessee
9. Kalen DeBoer, Alabama
8. Kyle Whittingham, Utah
7. Deion Sanders, Colorado
6. Dabo Swinney, Clemson
5. Marcus Freeman, Notre Dame
4. Steve Sarkisian, Texas
3. Dan Lanning, Oregon
2. Ryan Day, Ohio State
1. Kirby Smart, Georgia

IF and that is a big one, we make the playoffs this year, he could get into the top 25. A BIG IF.

I guess sports writers put out these types of lists in the off-seasons since there is not much anything else going on.
Most likely to spawn debates, but not to be taken seriously.
This list was obviously put together somewhat randomly.
Two examples of people on this list ...
#21 Bill Belichick - first ... why is he even on this list before even coaching his first college game? Second, if we assume he makes the list due to his NFL resume as being arguably one of the best 4-5 coaches of all time, then why put him at #21? If he is on the list, why not #1?
#19 Sherrone Moore - what is his resume? He inherited a national championship team and after his first year as a HC, he has a record of 9-5. And this merits a top 25 ranking?
