With how we closed the season with 4 straight wins and then all the commitments that came with that I thought we were going to go on a run and build ourselves up.

We closed weak on signing day and now our transfer class is as bad as it gets.

We need to get some wins back in our column.

I’d imagine part of the issue is we don’t have a DC. How can you recruit transfer players without knowing the DC?

We do have a DC. His name is Ron Roberts and that is why Armstrong left.

He was already Co-Defensive Coordinator, the other Co-Defensive Coordinator left. It is not too hard to figure out that Roberts is now THE Coordinator.

They were co defensive coordinators. When Armstrong left that leaves Roberts holding the job.

After we signed him we didn't do anything else worth bragging about.

I want to feel good about Florida football and he never gives us a good reason.

I agree. We lost a few really important pieces whether to graduation or transfer and he hasn’t replaced them. He kept some kids he had committed early he should have dropped and is acting with an urgency of a coach that doesn’t think he’s on the hot seat. He’s still 19-19 and nothing guarantees he doesn’t start the year poorly on the defensive side. I’m worried but think lagway can win enough on his own. But when lagway is done in 2 years, we might regress to 5-7 Napier again.

I've seen it said by the staff on here before. Not being able to sustain momentum is a Napier thing. We have a good day and then a bad one. A good month and then a bad one. The way we ended the season the offseason should have been all good news and smiles for us.
